Effectiveness Project Forum - Introductory Session
CESA 6 initiated the “The Effectiveness Project” to design and help implement a professional evaluation system for teachers, educational specialists, leaders and administrators. The system will focus on both the process and product of high quality instruction, which includes: (1) standards of effective practice, and (2) student achievement.

This introductory session is appropriate for personnel from districts that have committed to the project or district representatives that are interested in learning more about the Effectiveness Project.

Topics:

  • History, rationale, professional requirements, legal issues and design process of the project;
  • Overview of three evaluation systems: Teacher Evaluation, Educational Specialist Evaluation, and School Administrator Evaluation;
  • Overview of Effectiveness Project system components, including a demonstration of the OASYS (Observation and Appraisal Management System) web-based tool, that supports the implementation of all professional evaluation systems;
  • Project costs, roles, responsibilities, and training details.

The system will focus on both the process and product of high quality instruction, which includes: (1) standards of effective practice, and (2) student achievement.

This advanced session is appropriate for district personnel that have already attended previous informational sessions.

Topics:

  • Brief overview of professional requirements, legal issues, and design process of the project;
  • Detailed overview of three evaluation systems: Teacher Evaluation, Educational Specialist Evaluation, and School Administrator Evaluation;
  • Overview of Effectiveness Project system components, including a demonstration of the OASYS (Observation and Appraisal Management System) web-based tool, that supports the implementation of all professional evaluation systems;
  • Project costs, roles, responsibilities, and training details - pricing packages to be provided as needed.
