1. Administer, supervise, and coordinate Special Education instructional personnel for all aspects of programs and services for children with Special Education Needs including:

2. Provide a comprehensive continuum of coordinated programs and services for children with Special Educational Needs, including communication channels for the interface between special and regular education, parents, and outside agencies.

3. Develop policies, guidelines, and procedures for confidentiality of student records, DPI audit reports, parent rights brochures, IEP process, forms and report procedures, reporting DPI mandated district plans for Special Education, and other reports requested by the District Administrator.

4. Consultation regarding any and all aspects of Special Education including but not limited to:

    • Parent and school districts rights and responsibilities
    • Due process and mediation
    • Child find
    • Least restrictive alternatives
    • Private school children


 
 

 
5. Develop and coordinate Federal funded Special Education Programs. i.e., , , , etc.
