The CESA 6 Special Education Administrative and Support Services system for area schools provides a variety of administrative and support services and structures tailored to the needs of students with disabilities enrolled in area school districts. The team provides each district and each building principal with administrative and support staff to assist the district in the provision of quality services to children, provide direction support to staff, and implement the Special Education process and procedures as called for in IDEA and Chapter 115.
As part of the consortium:

The CESA 6 Director of Special Education provides overall direction, organizational format, and budgetary responsibility for the services. |

The CESA 6 provided District Director of Special Education oversees the local service arrangements for students, working in coordination with the CESA 6 Executive Director of Special Education, the school district administrative team and the designated school distric staff member. |

Program support staff who have extensive expertise in various disability areas enable IEP teams in the building to address the unique needs of the children served and assist teachers in regular and special education classes to implement the strategies programs and methodologies to address the needs of the students. |
