CESA 6 offers a variety of special education diagnostic services and maintains a complete list of experts available for independent evaluations.

CESA 6 provides Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE) to children with disabilities or children referred for consideration as a child with a disability. This evaluation could be in any area of impairment including but not limited to:

Specific Learning Disabilities
Emotional Behavioral Disturbance
Deaf/Blind
Orthopedically Impaired
Other Health Impaired
Traumatic Brain Injury
Autism
Functional Behavior Assessment/Behavior Intervention
Program Development

Staff are licensed or trained special education teahcers working either as a program support teacher for CESA 6 or assigned to a particular classroom in schools.

Requests for IEE’s will be considered from the resident school district. In the event a parent requests an IEE from CESA 6, the school district of residence would be contacted to serve as a contracting agent for this service.
