Security is essential to the confidentiality of student records. Each user has a unique username and password to which a level of access is assigned, limiting the amount of information a user can create, read, or edit.

Development of student IEP's requires collaboration among professionals. SEEDS® fosters collaboration by allowing authorized users to read and edit Special Education documents. Information that is entered is stored centrally on a Mysql database server. This information is transferred securely over the Internet. Once one user saves the information, another user who has access to that file can access that document. As a result, professionals are able to collaborate on projects without having to be in the same room or even the same town.
