Pupil services support educational programs to facilitate and enhance the learning process for all students. Services include School Psychology and School Social Work Services.

School Psychologist
School psychologists work to find the best solution for each student and situation; they use different strategies to address student needs and to improve school and district-wide support systems.
The services of the school psychologist are available to all classes/programs within the district. While the school psychologists spend a large percentage of their time evaluating students to determine a special education disability, it is understood that their expertise applies to a wide range of student service needs beyond special education. Our basic approach to addressing these needs is that we will respond as immediately and as effectively as possible utilizing whatever techniques and resources are deemed most appropriate.
School psychologists may also work with students individually and/or in groups. They may also assist in developing programs to train teachers and parents about effective teaching and learning strategies, techniques to manage behavior at home and in the classroom, working with students with disabilities or with special talents, addressing abuse of drugs and other substances, and preventing and managing crises. School Social Work
CESA 6 School Social Workers provide services to both regular and special education students and their families in order to facilitate the learning process for all students. These services help students resolve personal, emotional and social problems that interfere with their adjustment to school and their capacity to enjoy the fullest benefits of the education offered to them. School Social Workers extend services beyond school buildings by striving to work cooperatively with families, community agencies, other educational agencies, local businesses, and support groups.
