Alternative Programs

Alternative programs are available for elementary, middle and high school students who have been unable to successfully function in the regular school or special educational environment.

Assistive Technology

Assistive Technology services are designed to help districts meet the educational needs of students with disabilities from Birth to age 21.  Consultants can provide:  individual assessment, teach coaching, professional development regarding current trends in assistive technology.

 
Blind/Visually Impaired

CESA 6 offers a variety of educational services to support school districts to meet the needs of children with vision loss including: Assessment, Consultation, itinerant Blind/Visually Impaired programming, and Orientation & Mobility training.

Career and Technical Education

Career and Technical Education provides students:

  • academic subject matter taught with relevance to the real world 
  • employability skills, from job-related skills to workplace ethics  
  • career pathways that link secondary and postsecondary education 
  • education for additional training and degrees, especially related to workplace training, skills upgrades and career advancement  
Communication and Public Relations Services

Join the CESA 6 Communications Consortium or customize an approach to help your district develop communications solutions, right now and for the long-term.

Crisis Planning

Regional Crisis Team supports the development of a regional crisis team to support districts' planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of their individual crisis management plans and procedures.

Curriculum / Instruction / Assessment

CESA 6 Instructional Services provides leadership within a continous improvement model of best practices in the design, development, implementat and sustainability of local standards-based curricula, assessments, and instruction.

Deaf / Hard of Hearing

CESA 6 offers a variety of educational services to support school districts to meet the needs of children with hearing loss including: Assessment, Consultation, Educational Audiology, DHH programming (itinerant and resource classroom), and Educational Interpreter.

 
Early Learning Resources
CESA 6, through an IDEA Discretionary Grant provides professional development, consultation and materials support to the 42 districts in CESA 6 with links to regional and statewide initiatives and services.
Educator Licensing

CESA 6 provides licensing support services to educators. These services include license renewal connected to PI 34 and Alternative Licensure (RITE).

 
E-Learning

CESA 6 provides leadership and support in the area of distance education ( BadgerNet video distance ed, Compressed video solutions, and content management systems for provision of online classes).  

 
ESEA - No Child Left Behind
ESEA Services provide oversight, information, professional development and technical assistance regarding aspects of No Child Left Behind.  The service is offered through a consortium or consulting basis.
Fallen Timbers Environmental Center
Fallen Timbers is an environmental center located near Seymour, WI owned by six area school districts and operated by CESA 6. The educators at Fallen Timbers provide hands-on learning opportunities for students throughout the state.
Homeless Education of Children and Youth
Instructional Services
The Primary function of the Instructional Services Department is to assist or support school districts in meeting their instructional needs.  This function is carried out by support specialists through a broad range of services.
Literacy Center

Provides support services for classroom, intervention and other literacy support educators. Services include: summer institutes, workshops with national experts, trainings in balanced literacy models and intervention models.

Media Center

The CESA 6 Media Center provides an extensive collection of materials for direct classroom instruction, staff development. and district or school improvement.

 
Pupil Services

Pupil services support educational programs to facilitate and enhance the learning process for all students.  Services include School Psychology and School Social Work.

Professional Networks
CESA 6 Professional Networks provide an opportunity for leaders to engage with peers regarding topics of interest within their discipline.
Regie Routman Institute
Regional Competitions
CESA 6 facilitates regional competitions for the State Spelling Bee and Kohl's Scholarship Program.  Regional Champions become eligible for state level competitions.
Safe and Healthy Schools and Communities

The CESA 6 Safe and Healthy Schools/ Communities provides consultation and support to districts on planning, assessment, policy development, implementation, and evaluation of Health and Safety programs and practices, linked to Standards of the Heart.

 
Topics and areas include crisis management, suicide prevention, school climate, drug trends, alcohol and other drug use, violence prevention, and all issues youth face that create situations that youth are not reaching their full potential.
School Based Services

CESA 6 offers school districts an opportunity for school based services billing / reimbursement. CESA 6 offers Medicaid billing services to assist districts in recovering costs for medically related special education services.

Special Education Electronic Data System (SEEDS®v2 )

SEEDS®v2  is a web-based application designed to support special educators in IEP development and enhanced special education reporting.

Special Education services provide an array of products, services, and professional development activities designed to strengthen the capacity of educational institutions to successfully educate all students to reach their maximum potential in the least restrictive environment.
STEM
Technology Services

The mission of the CESA 6 Technology Services is to assist school districts as they attempt to meet the instructional needs of students and staff through the use of technology.

Transition
CESA 6 offers a comprehensive approach to providing transition services that help students with disabilities transition into adult life.
Web Applications

CESA 6 has a district website Content Management System (CMS4Schools), online calendaring system (Calendar4Schools), an IEP management system (SEEDS4Schools), workshop/conference registration system (myQuickReg), and a district intranet application (Link4Learning).
