Alternative Programs

Alternative programs are available for elementary, middle and high school students who have been unable to successfully function in the regular school or special educational environment.

Assistive Technology

Assistive Technology (AT) is designed to help meet the unique needs of students with disabilities, age Birth-21, who can realize educational benefits from using Assistive Technology devices and/or services. 

Safe and Healthy Schools and Communities

The CESA 6 Safe and Healthy Schools/ Communities provides consultation and support to districts on planning, assessment, policy development, implementation, and evaluation of Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) programs and practices, linked to Standards of the Heart.

Career and Technical Education
Career and Technical Education provides high school students with education pathways that help students explore interests and careers in the process of learning through school.
Crisis Planning

Regional Crisis Team supports the development of a regional crisis team to support districts' planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of their individual crisis management plans and procedures.

Educator Licensing
CESA 6 provides an array of services to support the licensing of educators.  These services include license renewal, National Board Certifying and Alternative Licensure (RITE).
Fallen Timbers Environmental Center
Fallen Timbers is an environmental center located near Seymour, WI owned by six area school districts and operated by CESA 6. The educators at Fallen Timbers provide hands-on learning opportunities for students throughout the state.
Grant Writing and Related Services (GROW)

The GROW (Grant Resources of Wisconsin) Grant Office assists school districts and other nonprofit agencies in identifying funding sources and then developing and submitting grant proposals to support educational programming initiatives. The GROW Evaluation Department provides evaluation services for both grant projects and specific school district programs that are not grant-related. GROW can also arrange to provide project development, project management, and implementation consultation services, as needed.

Homeless Education of Children and Youth

McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act of 2001 - Title X, Part C of the No Child Left Behind Act - Sec. 725. This act requires districts to ensure homeless students have access to education and other services they need to meet the same high academic achievement standards as all students.

Individualized Youth Services

The Individualized Youth Services program is a community-based alternative to long-term residential care for children with severe emotional disturbance (ages 6-17). 

Transition
CESA 6 offers a comprehensive approach to providing transition services that help students with disabilities transition into adult life.
Web Development & Web Applications

CESA 6 has developed a district Website content management system (CMS4Schools), a district intranet application and a powerful curriculum and assessments application (Link4Learning).
