Beginning in the fall of 2010, the CESA 6 Leadership Center will be offering a DVD entitled “Board Leadership for Educational Impact”. This DVD will feature Dr. Don Viegut, Deputy Superintendent of the Wausau School District and author of the upcoming book entitled, “Leading Impactful Governance” and will consist of four Board of Education development sessions focused on creating a Board of educational leaders and establishing a foundation for Board success for both today and the future. A manual to guide the District Administrator and Board of Education through the Board development activities will be included.
The Board Leadership for Educational Impact program is for Boards and District Administrators who want to grow and effectively meet the needs of their children for both the present and the future. Engaging in this Program will allow participants to model learning, enhance their leadership, and begin to create a legacy of effective boardsmanship.
Purchasing the “Board Leadership for Educational Impact” program will allow a District Administrator to engage his/her staff in a Board development process at a time and site that is most convenient for the District Administrator and Board of Education members. Since the District Administrator may want to actively participate in this development program with his/her Board, rather than serve as a facilitator of the process, CESA 6 will also offer the opportunity to have a member of the Leadership Center serve as a facilitator in guiding the District Administrator and Board throughout the program.
