The Primary function of the Instructional Services Department is to assist or support school districts in meeting their instructional needs.  This function is carried out by support specialists through a broad range of services.

The Instructional Services Department organizes projects under the direction of the local school district and will assist any schools within the CESA in developing or implementing programs and services customized to district needs.

The Instructional Services Department also serves as a liaison between the local district and university system as well as local districts and the Department of Public Instruction.  Through this liaison role, the Instructional Services Department will link districts to special resources, which are available, but may not be known to the districts.  The role of staff within the Instructional Services Department may be one of consultation, facilitation, presentation, support, or initiating activities the districts may wish to address.

The primary goal of the Instructional Services Department is to increase learning for teachers and students.
