The CESA 6 Educational Technology (Title II-D Ed TeESEA Support) Grant was formed to facilitate cooperative programming of professional development opportunities that improve and enhance the effective integration of instructional technologies through a Professional Learning Community model.
Grade 8 Technology Literacy
NCLB requires that districts have in place a plan to ensure that by the end of Grade 8, every student is technologically literate. Just how this requirement is implemented is a local district decision.
Title IID Consortium
2009/10 goals of the consortium include: develop and provide sustained and ongoing professional development activities in the area of technology integration, provide tools for networking and professional development for district technology staff. (Tech Coordinators network, web site, vendor presentations), district staff will attend professional development activities to increase ability to integrate technology within curriculum, and purchase and facilitate acquisition of hardware and software to implement Information and Literacy Technology Standards
Consortium members receive reduced workshop registration fees, free attendance at Technology Network Meetings, and assistance with DPI monitoring visits.
