Title I Services are dedicated to providing districts, buildings and teachers direct technical assistance in raising the achievement of Title I students, as well as maintaining procedural and fiscal compliance with all federal regulations. The service is offered through a consortium or consulting basis.

Introduction
Title I is an educational program giving students extra help in Reading, Math, Language Arts, Science or Social Studies. The federal government provides funds to local schools based upon the number of low-income students in the district.

Students are selected for the program based upon a building-wide needs assessment. Test results, teacher recommendations, and/or classroom performance are used to determine which students are in need of supplemental assistance. Students are served in order of greatest need. Title I helps students achieve proficiency in all areas of the Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Examination as well as proficiency across content areas at their grade level.
