CESA 6 provides leadership and support in the areas of distance education (BadgerNet two way video), online content provision and an online consortium of local school districts.

Distance Education
Today’s distance learning technology offers a vast array of applications for education, government and business. As part of Wisconsin’s statewide BadgerNet System, approximately 40 distance education networks provide technologies for two-way audio and video communication between multiple locations in real time. These networks serve K-12 schools and districts, CESAs, technical colleges, private colleges, the University of Wisconsin, Wisconsin State Government, local communities as well as citizens statewide. Programming on BadgerNet includes K-16 course sharing, professional development, meetings of educators from around the state, and “virtual field trips” to destinations across the nation and throughout the world. Most BadgerNet classrooms also provide Internet access and applications, phone/fax connections, document camera and a variety of multimedia tools for instruction and presentation.

ROC - Regional Online Consortium
The Regional Online Consortium (ROC) develops and teaches online coursework for high school students.  Courses are developed and taught by Educators from Cesa 6 member districts.  Students enrolled within ROC courses remain enrolled within their local school district.  Students interested in taking a ROC course need to contact their high school Guidance department.
