CESA 6 provides PI 34 license renewal support for private and public school educators, who are required to maintain a current license for employment.  As a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (WI DPI)-approved, license renewal support center, CESA 6 supports educators in creating Professional Development Plans (PDP) as a part of their license renewal responsibilities.

Initial Educators will receive support related to understanding license renewal requirements, creating and implementing a professional development plan and locating PDP review team members.

WI DPI - Trained Educators for PDP Teams

Professional Educators are also able to access the same levels of support if they choose to renew their WI DPI license through the Professional Development Plan process.

Both licensure groups may also take advantage of the leased electronic Professional Development Plan known as "WI PDP."

Mentoring Matters!

Mentoring for Initial Educators

PI 34 requires that initial educators employed through public school districts be provided trained, qualifed mentors. A qualified mentor is defined as possessing a valid WI DPI license and has been trained as a mentor. CESA 6 provides mentor training to school district personnel, private and parochial school personnel, CESA DPI licensed personnel, and correctional institution teachers.  Trainings are hosted at various times throughout the year for educators wanting mentor training.
