CESA 6 Center for Professional Excellence

CESA 6 provides PI 34 license renewal support for both private and public school educators required to maintain a current license for employment. As a DPI approved license renewal support center site, CESA 6 supports educators creating Professional Development Plans as a part of their license renewal responsibilities.

Initial educators will receive support related to understanding license renewal requirements, creating and implementing a professional development plan, locating PDP review team members.

Professional educators are also able to access the same levels of support if they choose to renew their DPI license through the Professional Development Plan process.

Both licensure groups may also take advantage of the leased electronic Professional Development Plan known as WI PDP.

Mentor Training

PI 34 requires that initial educators employed through public school districts be provided trained, qualifed mentors. A qualified mentor is defined as possessing a valid DPI license and has been trained as a mentor. CESA 6 provides mentor training to school district personnel, private and parochial school personnel, CESA DPI licensed personnel, correctional institution teachers. Training is offered fall and winter semesters. A week long mentor academy is hosted during the summer for educators wanting foundation level training and/or advanced mentor training.
