Regional Crisis Team supports the development of a regional crisis team to support districts' planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of their individual crisis management plans and procedures.

CESA 6 Regional Crisis Management Team
The CESA 6 Crisis Management Team consists of dedicated, passionate people with a shared vision and commitment of keeping schools healthy and safe.
 

The Crisis Management Team has a plan in place for CESA 6 employees,
however we also provide resources and training to districts.

Training:
CESA 6 Crisis Management Team annually provides trainings opportunities in the area of Prevention. The trainings focus on developing and/or updating your Comprehensive Safe School Plan. This includes evacuation or lock down procedures, debriefing, peer mediation, conflict resolution, suicide prevention and related youth issues workshops, and working with the media. Training is available locally and regionally.

Resources:
The CESA 6 Crisis Management Team provides a lending library for school districts. Resources include crisis response manuals and software to help develop or update crisis plans. The lending library includes books for children and adults focusing on death, dying, grief and loss.

Response:
In most cases local school personnel handle and contain most crises that occur. However, circumstances may develop where students, faculty and parents need support services that exceed the capabilities of the local district. In this situation, the School-Based Response Team may request assistance from the CESA 6 Crisis Management Team.

The goal of the CESA 6 Crisis Management Team is to supplement, not supplant, the work of the School-Based Response Team.
