Monday through Friday - 2.25 hours per day with an additional 1.5 hours per week for planning prep time

Job Description:
CESA 6 is seeking to employ an individual to work for our Menasha Joint School District After School Matters Program.  


Under the supervision of the Site Coordinator, the After School Matters Educational Leader will develop, implement and lead after school programs/activities. The Educational Leader will also assist students with homework. In addition, the After School Matters Educational Leader will provide a team atmosphere with other staff to create a safe, fun, and educational atmosphere within After School Matters. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, organize, and facilitate age appropriate interactive learning activities.
  • Submit organized weekly activity schedules to the Site Coordinator.
  • Familiarize yourself and utilize district curriculum and benchmarks for activity planning.
  • Utilize CLC resources and supplies along with other after school curriculum to create activities. 
  • Provide homework support and assistance.
  • Work under the daily direction of the Site Coordinator.
  • Observe necessary precautions to ensure the safety of program participants and maintain a clean and professional environment.
  • Organize necessary supplies for programs/activities.
  • Guide and delegate responsibilities to Student Aides in order to be successful in their supporting role.
  • Supervise and monitor the behavior of the participants. Enforce rules and regulations and apply appropriate disciplinary measures as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, ASM staff, and day school teachers concerning activities/programs, participant’s academic struggles and successes, schedule changes, participant’s behavior and needs, upcoming programs, room usage, etc.
  • Assist with snack, supervision, and clean up on an as needed basis.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and staff training sessions.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Site Coordinator.

Requirements:
Experience in planning, organizing, and facilitating academic or after school activities for youth ages 5-13. Activities include, but are not limited to, literacy and math activities, arts & crafts, sports & games, drama, language development, character education, academic enrichment, etc. Individual must possess a high school diploma, an Associates or Bachelor degree preferred. Must have certification in First Aid and Infant/Child CPR or have the ability to obtain this documentation.
